Lobenberg: Goldfarben, dicht, reich. 2014 war für Weißweine überragend, im Burgund, der Champagne und eben auch im Penedes. Insgesamt ein ganz großes Jahr für Sprudel! 2014 war das erste Jahr der Biodynamie für Gramona und das erste Jahr, in dem sie mit einer originalen Presse aus der Champagne arbeiteten. 110 Monate auf der Hefe unter Naturkork. Superkomplexe Nase bei feinster Perlage. Blumen, Kräuter, Nüsse. Hefe und Salz im Mund und Nachhall, die Mineralität steht für Minuten. Ein Brut Nature ohne Dosage, die hat er auch überhaupt nicht nötig.

-- Penin: Golden leuchtend. In der Nase komplex. Feine Hefen, Nüsse und Wildkräuter. Im Mund kraftvoll, geschmackvoll, schöne Säure, feine Perlen und leicht zartbitter.

Parker über: Celler Batlle Brut

-- Parker: The older 2014 Celler Batlle Brut Nature is the first vintage of this wine from 75% Xarel.lo and 25% Macabeo from the Font Jui vineyard to be offered with zero added sugar (as a brut nature). It fermented and matured in bottle with the lees under a natural cork that gives the wine a spicier twist (curry) from the old solera rancio wine added. 2014 was a cooler year with more rain (even more than 2013), and they implemented some changes, mainly the zero dósage in the wine, with no added sugar, which seems to have improved even the texture of the wine. It's super tasty, spicy and dry. I think this has to be the finest vintage of Celler Batlle so far. 7,000 bottles produced. It was disgorged in October 2023, nine years after the harvest. There will be some changes from 2015, produced from a specific lieu-dit or 'paraje.'

-- Weingut: The winter and early spring were dry, followed by a few weeks of rain and high temperatures that favoured oidium and mildew. In the vineyard, we worked hard to control the damage. Yields were 15% below the average of the past few years and the predictions for the long-aged sparkling wines were excellent. Grapes were harvested by hand, before passing through a second selection at the sorting table. The fruit entered by gravity into the press and the coupage was decided by tasting, just before the bottles began secondary fermentation, corked with natural cork, in February 2015. Each stage of the process was carried out by hand, including racking and disgorging. The aromas of ripe fruit give way to endless notes of ageing, such as breadcrumbs, brioche, toasted hazelnuts, cinnamon, vanilla... On the palate it is a powerful sparkling wine, full of nuances and with an excellent balance between freshness and maturity.
