Lobenberg: Dominio de ES ist ein winziges biodynamisches Weingut des aus der Loire (Chinon) stammenden Franzosen Bertrand Sourdais. Er war Mitgründer der Dominio Atauta, die er verließ, als man es dort mit der Biodynamie und den Ertragsbeschränkungen nicht mehr so genau nehmen wollte. Die vielen kleinen Parzellen seines eigenen Weinguts Dominio de ES entdeckte er in den 8 Jahren bei Atauta, auch seinen Partner samt Weinbergen seines etwas größeren Gemeinschaftsprojekts, Bodegas Antidoto, entdeckte er in diesen Jahren. Bertrand gehört zum Freundeskreis von Rafael Palacios und Oscar Vallegre, ist also in grandiosen Netzwerken aufgestellt. Die Parzellen der Dominio de ES liegen sämtlich in der Gemeinde Atauta, in der Provinz Soria, an Ribera del Dueros Ostgrenze zur Rioja. Die Weinberge liegen auf 950 bis 1000 Höhenmetern. Über 90% alte bis uralte, wurzelechte Tempranillo-Reben in Buschform (oft über 130 Jahre alt) und dazu etwas weiße Albillo und etwas rotsaftige Alicante Bouschet. Kalkstein, Kreide, Sand, Mergel und Lehm sind das Terroir. Die Expositionen sind überwiegend kühlere Ostexpositionen, manche Parzellen aber auch gen Süden geneigt. Überwiegend Steilhänge oder Terrassen. Die per Hand in kleinsten Körben gelesenen Trauben der uralten Reben erbringen pro Stock im Durchschnitt 1,5 bis 2 kg. Die Weine des überragenden, etwas wilden Basisweins Vinas Viejas werden nur zu 70% entrappt, die 3 Einzellagen werden zu 100% entrappt. Der Ausbau erfolgt je nach Wein in gebrauchten oder neuen burgundischen, 228 Liter Barriques aus französischer Eiche, i.d.R. nur von einem der besten Tonnelier Francois Freres. Bertrand kauft deshalb auch gebrauchte Barriques von den allerbesten Burgundern wie DRC. Die Einzellage Carravilla misst nur 0,27 Hektar und besteht zu 95% Tempranillo aus 130 Jahre, wurzelechten Reben und zu 5% weißer Abilo. Eine Steillagen-Südexposition auf 935 Höhenmetern. Reiner Kalkstein. Am 24. September geerntet. Nur 1000 Kilo. Biodyn. 100% entrappt, 28 Tage Mazeration mit bis zu 30 Grad. Täglich 10 Minuten Remontage. Ausbau in nur 3 neuen, französischen Barriques. 12,9 Grad Alkohol. PH 3,65, Säure 5,3 Gramm total. 2020 ist ein superschlankes Intensitätsmonster. Nur 13 Alkohol. Finesse, Eleganz und Frische, wie deckt sich das mit früheren Jahren aus Ribera? Gar nicht! Kalkstein und Kreide schon in der Nase. Dazu sehr blumig und delikat, Vergissmeinnicht und Veilchen. Blut und Eisen. Holunder und Blaubeerschale, wilde Kräuter, Thymian, Estragon. Im Mund explosiv, Kreide, brachial viel Bleistift, wieder getrocknete Blaubeerschale, trockene Cranberry, dennoch irgendwie saftig. Der extrem lange, steinige Nachhall über seidigsten Tanninen raubt einem ob seiner nicht enden wollenden Intensität den Atem. Dabei leicht im Alkohol und filigran im Körper, nur eben eine never ending story. Braucht Zeit und Erfahrung. 98-99+/100
