Lobenberg: Hier schweben unendliche Aromen im Glas, aber nicht eine Sekunde wuchtig. Alles filigran, man muss ein bisschen suchen und erahnen, aber es kommt immer mehr. Pflaume, Kirsche, dann Himbeere und ein Hauch Süßholz. Umrundet von Blüten, Kräutern und entferntem Pfeifentabak. Im Mund dann genauso komplex, am deutlichsten wohl die Kirsche, aber auch Johannisbeernoten und eine warme Würzigkeit von Nelken. So tief und dicht, ohne aber seine Finesse zu verlieren. Hier stehen Säure, Tannin und Alkohol im perfektem Zusammenspiel. Das ist in dieser Region eine große Nummer. Dieser neue Vino Nobile unter der Linie Costa Grande ist geboren aus der „Alleanza“ mit anderen Weingütern wie Avignonesi oder Poliziano. Im Abgang zeigt sich wieder die Süßholznote, die lange trägt. Beim letzten Schluck aus dem Glas hat man nicht das Gefühl, dass man jetzt aufhören sollte. Richtig lecker, richtig gut. 94-95/100

-- Parker: This is a relatively new single-vineyard wine from Boscarelli. The 2016 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Costa Grande opens to a beautifully dark color with saturated highlights of ruby and garnet gemstone. The bouquet is fine and bright, with vertical aromas of crème de cassis, dried cherry and wild rose. Sangiovese usually offers some earthy tones of forest floor or porcino mushroom, and you get those here too. These various fragrances are wrapped up neatly into the wine's tight, mid-weight texture. Dusty or dry tannins give the wine a slender or streamlined finish. 94/100
