Parker über: Das Kleine Kreuz

-- Parker: Based predominantly on late-harvested Cabernet Franc (50%), St. Laurent (20%), Merlot (20%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) cultivated on the gravelly and sandy soils of the Freinsheimer Schwarzes Kreuz, the 2021 Das kleine Kreuz was aged in barriques and amphorae for 22 months and bottled unfiltered in September this year. The dark ruby-colored wine offers an intense and concentrated bouquet of dark and red berries intertwined with notes of licorice, cigar box, iodine and crushed stones. Finessed and fresh on the palate, this is a powerful but athletic, saline and tensioned red wine with concentrated and fleshy fruit, fine tannins and a long, intense and stimulating finish. There is not a region I could compare this with, but if I had to name one, it would be the Anjou (Loire). It has a very long, vital and saline finish with ripe and crunchy tannins. 13.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023. 93/100

Rings
