Lobenberg: Wie immer bei Jadot gibt es auch bei diesem Corton Charlemagne es Ganztraubenpressung. Dann wird im Stahl angegoren und die komplette restliche Fermentation im neuen Barrique durchgeführt. 12 Monate werden die Weine auf der Vollhefe belassen, dann abgestochen und für weitere sechs Monate ausgebaut. Rund 50 Prozent neues Holz. Jadot hat 2 Hektar besitz im Charlemagne. Dieser Corton von Jadot kommt aus Südostexposition, also eher der wärmeren Seite der Lage. Anders also als die Lagen von Bonneau du Martray, die mehr nach Westen ausgerichtet und deshalb kühler sind. Hier haben wir die ganze Kraft, die Corton Charlemagne zeigen kann. Süße, weiße Frucht mit Brioche, Vanille und Mandarine, köstlich. Sehr hoher Gourmetfaktor in 2022. Er hat natürlich auch Kreide, Salz und eine gewisse Schärfe aus weißem Pfeffer, wie immer, aber 2022 ist so charming und einnehmend. Was für ein schickes Jahr für die Freude, selbst in den höchsten Klassen. 96-97+/100

-- Suckling: This has the classic reserved aromas and handsomely structured palate of the Corton Charlemagne cru, and will only get better with time. Subtle citrus and white peach aromas lead to mineral, Bosc pear, lime and lemon flavors held tightly in acidity and a bit of tannin. Best from 2029.

-- Tim Atkin: This is a firm and classic expression of Corton that is crisp and a bit stand-offish for the moment. The palate is crunchy and the aromatics are reticent. Still, some baked apple and pear notes emerge along with toasted wheat bread. There is good purity here and more than plentiful concentration, but this will need four to five years to settle down and give its best. 95/100

-- Parker: The 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), which is continuing its élevage in foudre, unwinds in the glass with notes of citrus oil, pear, hazelnuts, fresh mint and subtle reduction. Full-bodied, layered and chalky, with a rich core of fruit that's still youthfully tightly wound, it concludes with a long, resonant finish. It's one of the high points of the range this year. 94-95/100

-- Galloni: The 2022 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a perfumed nose: scents of brioche, touches of popcorn and plenty of citrus fruit, a step up from the previous vintage. The palate is well-balanced with good weight. But here, I need to discern more precision and terroir expression. Orange pith and tangerine, a touch of apricot towards the finish. Quite a forthright Corton-Charlemagne, but the aromatics outclass the palate at the moment. 92-94/100
