Lobenberg: Die gleichen Besitzer wie Château Gloria. Saint Pierre spielt allerdings in einer anderen preislichen Liga, häufig mit zu den teuersten Weinen Saint Juliens gehörend. Jean-Louis Triaud ist hier der Winemaker mit seinen über 50 Jahre alten Reben. Wir haben eine hochreife Nase, mehr schwarze als rote Frucht, üppig und reich mit starker Extraktion. Der Mund ist sehr schwarz, Holzkohle, viel Holz, jedenfalls auf Power vinifiziert. Anders als 2018 hat Saint Pierre aber genau die Frische und Säure und rote Frucht Saint Juliens, um das Hloz und den Extrakt zu balancieren, und genau dann kann Saint Pierre sogar groß sein und zur ersten Reihe der Appellation gehören. 96-97+/100

-- Decanter: The 2019 Saint-Pierre, the sibling of Gloria owned by Domaines Martin rather than the Right Bank estate, is an address that has rapidly become one of the go-to Saint-Juliens in recent years. The bouquet is exquisite: pure blackberry, raspberry and briary scents infused with cedar and hints of mocha, very well defined a little more generous than Gloria. The palate is fresh and detailed with grippy tannins. Very good structure here, a sturdy yet paradoxically elegant wine with a lip-smacking salinity on the long finish. Superb, absolutely superb. 97/100

-- Jane Anson: Violet-edged, with sculpted fruit and an enticing mix of precision and generosity, with classic St Julien balance. Great depth of fruit, crushed rocks, smoked earth, tobacco. Takes time to show itself, but there is sweet blackberry fruit here, and a purity of expression that has clear long-term potential. At this point they were working 15% organic, before switching to 100% the following year. 49% new oak. Harvest September 23 to October 4, Eric Boissenot consultant. 96/100

-- Parker: The 2019 Château Saint-Pierre (Saint Julien) checks in as 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot. It's a big, rich, powerful wine loaded with notions of blackcurrants, smoked earth, chocolate, and violet notes. It shows more elegance on the palate and is medium to full-bodied, has beautiful tannins, and a terrific sense of freshness and purity. It's going to need 4-6 years of bottle age yet will drink well for 30 years or more. 94-96+/100
