Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chateau Hosanna 2017

94–95
/100

Lobenberg: Im Besitz von Christian Moueix. Nur 4 Hektar, ein Winzling. Kies und roter Lehm mit hohem Eisenanteil. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc. 94-95/100

Parker über: Chateau Hosanna

-- Parker: A final blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Hosanna is deep garnet-purple in color with a nose that simply sings of violets, chocolate-covered cherries and exotic spices with a core of crème de cassis, fragrant earth and blueberry pie plus a waft of wild thyme. The palate is medium to full-bodied, velvety, rich and seductive with tons of black and blue fruit layers, finishing with those exotic spices coming through. 96-98/100

Suckling über: Chateau Hosanna

-- Suckling: This shows a very long finish with pretty fruit and sophisticated tannins. Chewy and exciting. 95-96/100

Jeb Dunnuck über: Chateau Hosanna

-- Jeb Dunnuck: One of the gems of the vintage, the 2017 Hosanna checks in as 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, all from the clay, gravelly, iron-rich soils of the estate in Pomerol. It’s a gorgeously ripe, sexy red that boasts a deep purple color as well as a sensational bouquet of cassis, black raspberries, crushed flowers, and spice, with more and more floral and mineral notes developing with time in the glass. Full-bodied, ripe, sexy, and voluptuous on the palate, with sweet tannin, it's an opulent, straight-up rockstar of a wine. 94-97/100

Wine Enthusiast über: Chateau Hosanna

-- Wine Enthusiast: With 30% Cabernet Franc, this is a finely perfumed wine from a small 11-acre property. It is poised and balanced, with dark tannins and a dense, smoky character that will allow it to age well. It has power and excellent potential, and will likely to be ready to drink from 2023. 94-96/100

Neal Martin über: Chateau Hosanna

-- Neal Martin: -- NM: The 2017 Hosanna has a sophisticated and quite beguiling bouquet that continues what I feel is a more cerebral take on the vineyard, earlier vintages being a little too ostentatious for my liking. This exudes panache and the oak here is seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, enormous depth, harmonious and silky smooth in texture to the point where you almost overlook the power towards the finish. There is something ambitious about this Hosanna and it will surely age tremendously over the next 20 years. This vies with Trotanoy as one of the most enticing offerings from J-P Moueix this year. 94-96/100

Hosanna
