-- Parker: The 2022 Sorte Antiga feels very young and undeveloped, and like all the 2022s here, it's much fresher than expected, keeping the balance and elegance and not showing any heat. It does have a little more roundness. It was a very warm year, but Rafael Palacios thinks the grapes got used to constant heat and kind of got used to it in 2022 and responded better than when the year is cooler and then the grapes suffer when there is a streak of heat that often burns the skins. The deep roots of this very old vineyard, the high altitude and the cool, decomposed granite soils seem to have worked wonders here. It was bottled in July 2023, only a couple of months before I tasted it. 96/100
