Lobenberg: Ultrakleines, ultraschickes Miniweingut. Schöne Komplexität, fein, aber ein bisschen spröde, ein bisschen hart. Ein Schatten dessen, was er mal als einer der Top Five Pomerols war. Seitdem das Traumduo Jerome Aguirre und J.C. Meyrou das Weingut verlassen haben und nun Enclos Tourmalin auf den Thron hoben, ging es bergab. Immer noch mehr als sehr anständig, aber nicht mehr ganz groß. 94+/100

-- Parker: Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Le Gay has a rock star nose of flamboyant Black Forest cake, crushed redcurrants and lilacs scents with underlying nuances of yeast extract, wood smoke, iron ore and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, the palate truly struts its stuff with generous black and red fruits and a fantastic line of super ripe tannins, building to a very long, seductively perfumed finish. 95+/100

-- Gerstl: Das ist schon fast pures Cassis, raffiniert floral, ganz feine Kräuter, auch die schwarzen Trüffel fehlen nicht. Samtener, wunderbar feiner, hocheleganter Gaumen, ein Orgie von Frucht auch hier, welch irre innere Kraft und welch faszinierendes mineralisches Rückgrat, eine sensationelle Pomerol Delikatesse. 19+/20
